Privacy Policy

1. Information Houro stores

To provide its features, Houro may store information you enter or create in the app, including:

• work entries, dates, start and end times, and break durations;
• hourly rates, pay multipliers, estimated earnings, and pay-period settings;
• shift templates and related preferences;
• optional notes attached to work entries;
• app settings such as currency, week start, and rounding preferences; and
• limited entitlement information needed to determine access to the free work-record period and Houro Pro.

2. Where your data is stored

Houro is local-first. Work records and settings are stored on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled and available, supported Houro data may also be stored and synchronized through your Apple iCloud account using Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services.

Houro does not operate an account system or a Liamyte-hosted backend for your work-log data.

3. Free-period and entitlement information

Houro stores limited information needed to determine eligibility for the free 21-day work-record period and Houro Pro access. This information may persist across app reinstalls or devices where supported so that access status can be maintained correctly.

This entitlement information does not contain your work notes, shift history, hourly rate, or payment-card information.

4. iCloud

If you use iCloud features, Apple processes and stores the relevant data as part of your iCloud account. Your use of iCloud is also subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices.

5. Purchases

Houro Pro is purchased through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple handles the payment transaction. Houro and Liamyte do not receive your payment-card number or other full payment credentials.

Houro may read App Store purchase entitlement information so it can determine whether Houro Pro has been unlocked and restore eligible purchases.

6. Exports and backups

Houro can create exports and backups when you choose to do so. These may contain information from your work log, such as shifts, hours, rates, notes, or estimated earnings.

Exported or backed-up files are placed under your control. If you share them with another person, employer, cloud-storage service, spreadsheet app, or other service, that recipient's privacy practices apply after the file leaves Houro.

7. How Houro uses your information

Houro uses the information stored by the app only as needed to provide its functionality, such as:

• calculating worked time and estimated gross pay;
• showing weekly, monthly, historical, and pay-period views;
• creating exports and backups you request;
• synchronizing supported data through iCloud; and
• determining free-period and Houro Pro access.

Houro does not sell your personal data or use your work records for advertising or profiling.

8. Data deletion and retention

You can delete work entries and other editable records from within Houro. Deleting the app removes app data stored only inside the app's local container, but it may not automatically remove data that has been synchronized to iCloud.

Some entitlement-related information may persist after reinstalling Houro so that free-period and purchase status can be maintained correctly.

iCloud data is managed through Apple's services and your Apple account. Availability and deletion behavior may depend on your iCloud settings and Apple's platform behavior.

9. Data security

Houro relies on Apple's platform protections and iCloud security mechanisms where applicable. No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but Houro is designed to minimize unnecessary collection and transmission of your work data.

10. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if Houro's features or data practices change. The effective date below will be updated when material changes are made.
