Can I use my iPad as a digital sign?

Yes. SayItBig! works on iPad as well as iPhone and displays your message fullscreen in portrait or landscape. The larger physical screen can be useful when you want a temporary sign at a table, desk or event entrance rather than a message you hold up briefly on your phone.

The app is suited to a single visual message such as “WELCOME,” “CHECK IN HERE” or “BACK IN 5 MINUTES.” It uses the device you already have to show the words you enter. Think of it as a temporary message board, rather than a system for managing multiple displays or automatically running an event schedule.

What notices fit an iPad screen?

A welcome at a small gathering can help guests recognize the right table. A desk sign can tell a visitor where to wait. A brief event notice can name the next activity or point toward check-in. For each one, choose the information people need at the moment they approach.

“WELCOME, TEAM” is a greeting. “CHECK IN HERE” is an instruction. “SESSION AT 2” gives a time. All three are easier to take in than a screen filled with several paragraphs. If your notice has a location and a time, keep both concise and check that neither detail gets lost when you choose the text size.

An iPad can also show a passenger's name at arrivals or a guest's name for a hotel pickup. Our airport pickup sign guide covers what to display and how to choose a visible waiting position. The larger screen gives a name more room, but you still need to hold it steadily and keep the walkway clear.

Is static or scrolling text better for a table sign?

Static text is generally better when someone walks past or needs an instruction immediately. The whole notice stays visible, so a guest can understand “PLEASE WAIT” without watching another pass. Static mode is included with SayItBig!'s optional one-time Pro upgrade.

Scrolling is useful for a longer welcome or message that a nearby person has time to watch. SayItBig!'s free mode moves text horizontally with adjustable size, speed and left or right direction. Keep the speed comfortable, and make sure the meaning remains clear if someone starts watching partway through.

Before choosing scrolling, try shortening the message. A stationary “CHECK IN” may do the job better than a sentence explaining the entire process. For more advice on concise notices, read the big text display guide.

How should I set up the display?

Enter your message, choose the appearance and tap Play to show it fullscreen. Try landscape for a longer name or phrase, or portrait for a short greeting. The choice should follow the words and the position of the device, rather than assuming one orientation always produces larger lettering.

Use strong contrast between the text and background. Free scrolling includes a classic LED font, text colors and black or white backgrounds. Pro adds premium fonts, bigger text and styles including neon, rainbow and gradients. A simple presentation is a useful starting point for desk instructions; decorative styles may fit a welcome or celebration.

Place the iPad in a stable position facing the people who need the message. A suitable stand can help you set the angle, but it is separate hardware rather than an app feature. Check for glare at the viewing position and make sure nearby objects do not cover the words. Keep the device clear of busy edges where it might be bumped.

What should I check before leaving a sign on display?

Read the complete message from the place a visitor will approach. Check the spelling, the time and the direction. A saved “BACK IN 5 MINUTES” preset is only useful if that is what you mean today. SayItBig! can save messages for reuse, but you are responsible for keeping the notice current.

Consider brightness and battery charge for the time you expect to show the sign. Do not assume that a tablet display will stay visible indefinitely or that the app manages power for you. Check the device during use, especially when an event runs longer than expected.

A screen is harder to read in some lighting conditions and from some angles. A larger iPad is helpful for nearby viewing, but does not replace a venue-wide display. If guests need to find information from far away, choose signage sized for that distance rather than relying on a tablet alone.

Do I need an account or a subscription?

No. SayItBig! does not require an account and has no ads or subscription. The core scrolling experience is free. Pro is an optional one-time unlock for static mode, bigger text, faster scrolling, premium fonts and additional visual styles.

For a broader view of using a device as a temporary message board, see the LED sign guide. Choose an iPad when the extra display area helps your nearby reader and the setting gives you a practical place to put it.

Make your message fullscreen.
