Your time. Your record.
How Houro stores your work records
Houro stores work records and settings on your device. Supported data can sync through your own Apple iCloud account if sync is enabled and available, and you choose when to create exports or backups. Houro does not require a Houro or Liamyte account.

What does “no account” mean here?
You do not create a Houro or Liamyte login to keep a personal work record. Houro is local-first, with no Liamyte-hosted backend for work-log data. You can keep your shifts for your own review rather than joining an employer’s account system.
That does not mean the app operates outside Apple’s services. iCloud features use your Apple account, and purchases are handled through the App Store. “No Houro account” describes the app’s own account requirement; it is not a claim that no account or platform service is ever involved in using an iPhone or purchasing Pro.
What information is stored on your device?
Houro’s privacy policy lists work entries, dates, start and end times, break durations, hourly rates, pay multipliers and estimated earnings. It also covers pay-period settings, reusable shift templates, optional work-entry notes and preferences such as currency, week start and rounding. These details support your personal tracking workflow.
Consider what you put in a note as part of the record you are keeping. A work log may contain information you want to review privately, such as hours and rates. Houro’s local-first design gives you a personal record to maintain, but it does not make the contents of a device or a file impossible for anyone else to access.
How does optional iCloud sync fit in?
If iCloud sync is enabled and available, supported Houro data may be stored and synchronized through your Apple iCloud account using iCloud and CloudKit. Sync covers supported Houro data; not every piece of app information necessarily syncs in every situation. Availability depends on the relevant Apple services and settings.
Apple processes and stores the relevant data as part of your iCloud account, and Apple’s terms and privacy practices also apply. Local-first therefore should not be read as “never leaves the device” when you enable cloud features. Review your settings and the privacy policy to understand the storage arrangement you choose.
Exports are a separate sharing decision
Lifetime Pro includes PDF and CSV timesheet exports, and Houro also supports creating backups when you choose. Such files may contain details from your work log. Before saving a copy to a shared location or sending it to someone, review the file and decide whether the recipient needs the information it contains.
The policy explains that the recipient’s privacy practices apply after an export leaves Houro. A file shared with an employer, spreadsheet app or cloud-storage service is a separate copy under that destination’s control. Keeping a personal history in the app does not imply that everyone you send a copy to will handle it in the same way.
What purchase-access information is retained?
The privacy policy describes limited entitlement information used to determine eligibility for the free 21-day work-record period and Houro Pro access. That information may persist across reinstalls or devices where supported so that access status can be maintained correctly. The policy says it does not contain your work notes, shift history, hourly rate or payment-card information.
Apple handles the Pro purchase transaction through StoreKit. Houro may read purchase-entitlement information to determine whether Pro is unlocked and restore eligible purchases. These access checks can remain relevant after a reinstall. Uninstalling the app does not necessarily remove every piece of information connected with it.
Deletion and the limits of privacy claims
You can delete work entries and other editable records inside Houro. Deleting the app removes data stored only in its local container, but the policy says it may not automatically remove synchronized iCloud data. Entitlement-related information may also persist. Manage iCloud data through Apple’s services and account settings, where behavior depends on the platform.
Houro’s policy says it does not sell personal data or use work records for advertising or profiling. It relies on Apple’s platform protections and iCloud security where applicable; it does not promise complete security. Read Houro’s Privacy Policy for the full description. For an ongoing personal work log, the practical benefit is no Houro login, local-first records and deliberate choices about sync, backups and exports.
