What can you keep in a personal timesheet?
A personal timesheet is a record of your own work, built from the shifts you enter. In Houro, work records can include dates, start and end times, break durations, rates, multipliers and optional notes. Week, Month and Pay Period views help you review that history at different scales before you create a separate copy.
The point is to preserve the details behind the total. If you only keep a number such as “38 hours,” you may struggle to explain which days produced it later. A shift history lets you check a shorter day, a second shift or a break correction without reconstructing an entire week from memory.
Build the timesheet as you work
Use Clock In, Break and Clock Out during live work, or add entries manually when you know the times. Houro also supports editing an entry and recording more than one shift on a date. Keep separate work blocks separate, and include the break duration for the entry it belongs to.
A useful routine is to check each completed shift while its details are fresh. At the end of the week or pay period, review the wider history for missing days and duplicate entries. Exporting is the final step in that routine: a polished file is still based on the information you recorded, so check the source history first.
Which export formats does Houro support?
Houro supports both PDF and CSV timesheet exports with Lifetime Pro. PDF is useful when you want a document to read, save or print. CSV provides structured work data that you can open in a spreadsheet or another compatible tool for your own review.
Choose the format according to what you need to do with the record. For example, a readable copy for your own folder may be best as PDF, while comparing recorded data in a spreadsheet may call for CSV. Neither format adds an employer approval status or guarantees that another system will accept the file as a payroll submission.
Check the history before exporting
Review the dates and the shifts included in the history you intend to document. Make sure every actual work block is present, including split shifts. Check start times, finish times and breaks, then inspect rate details if you also use Houro for estimated gross pay. A missing entry cannot be repaired by changing the exported total alone.
Pay attention to the distinction between worked hours and expected earnings. Houro’s pay figures are estimates of gross pay from recorded hours and configured rates or multipliers. They do not include taxes, withholding or deductions. If you share a record to discuss your hours, make the purpose clear rather than presenting the estimate as final payroll.
Save, print or share the copy you need
You can save a copy, print a PDF or share a Houro timesheet elsewhere. A copy can be useful for personal documentation, for reviewing a completed period or for discussing a particular shift. Confirm the recipient’s preferred format yourself; Houro is not an employer-managed submission or approval system.
Exports can contain information from your work log. Before sharing, review the file so you understand the details it contains and who will receive them. Houro’s privacy policy explains that once a file goes to another person or service, the recipient’s privacy practices apply. Keeping a local record and sharing a copy are separate decisions under your control.
What purchase is needed for export?
CSV and PDF timesheet export is included with Lifetime Pro. Lifetime Pro is a one-time in-app purchase with no recurring subscription. This guide does not quote a price; check the app for the purchase offered to you. The privacy policy also describes a free 21-day work-record period, so you should not assume unlimited free tracking or free exports.
A timesheet export is also different from a restorable app backup. Houro supports backup and restore, but a PDF or CSV is a copy for reading or working with elsewhere, not a promise of a restore format. Houro does not generate payslips, certify timesheets or integrate with payroll. Its value here is maintaining your own history and giving you a usable copy when you need it.
